IBM Donates Computers to SOS, Cebu City Schools
Cebu City, Philippines (PRWEB) January 27, 2006
The Integrated Business Machines (IBM) Philippines recently donated computers and Little Tikes furniture to Cebu City Central Schools, Zapatera Elementary School, Labangon Elementary School and the SOS Village to further enhance the knowledge of the students on Information and Communications Technology.
“Our thrust is to share what we have to society by donating computers through the Integrating Technology in Early Learning program,” Richard Burgos, IBM-Phils. Communications Manager said.
“The teachers of these schools are also trained by EduQuest on how to integrate the technology inside the classroom,” Burgos added.
Integrating technology early learning is part of IBM’s Corporate Community Relations Program to empower the children’s learning through the use of computers.
Lessons in Science, Math, Language, Reading and Geography are packaged creatively in the program to make it attractive to children.
Burgos said the IBM’s advance computer technology and pre-school software programs will enable the kids to have a productive learning experience
The program was made possible through the support of EduQuest.
