USB Side-Flange Mount Jacks with 24″ Wire Leads Provide Unique Mounting Options

North Andover, MA (PRWEB) December 02, 2011

L-com, Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of wired and wireless connectivity products, has introduced a new USB mounting option with its new UPMA-LEADS and UPMB-LEADS part numbers. These items use a side-flange to mount the USB jack, and provide 24” long wire leads for custom wiring through panels or enclosures.

L-com has long carried a popular line of “ECJ” style USB jacks for mounting with a flange that extends above and below the connector. The new jacks provide mounting options for product designs where there is not enough room above or below the jack to mount the connector. They also come with longer leads than the previous styles, and mounting hardware is included.

“We created these new products in response to the increasing demand for designing in USB connectivity to OEM, military, and aerospace equipment,” said Steve Smith, Product Manager. “Our superior manufacturing capabilities allow us to offer our customers more off-the-shelf options for this demand.”

The new jacks will be stocked in North America so they can ship the same day as orders are placed. They will feature 30 microinch gold plating on contacts, 24 AWG UL1007 style tinned copper leads, with one lead connected to the jack shell for shield draining. Engineering drawings and 3D CAD models are available for free on the L-com web site.

Shatterbox Continues Expansion

LEXINGTON, KY (PRWEB) November 28, 2011

As it enters the fourth month following its merger with regional IT power Hensley, Elam and Associates, Lexington-based branding and new media design firm Shatterbox has once again expanded its staff.

Hensley-Elam co-founder and Shatterbox CEO Russ Hensley announced that Cody Chatham has joined the firm’s team, one of the 15 new jobs the company expects to create during the next two years. Chatham will serve as a graphic designer and work out of Shatterbox’s offices on 163 East Main Street in Lexington, KY.

“We’re proud to bring someone with Cody’s background working with global corporate companies with revenues into the Shatterbox team,” Hensley said. “I have no doubt he will be a tremendous asset.”

Chatham joins Shatterbox after spending the past four years performing freelance design work . A native of Lexington, he studied design at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. His focus will be on print graphic designs and logo development, an intricate part of the branding process.

“I’m excited to have Cody on our team,” said Jeff Ruth, Shatterbox’s president. “Design is a passion for him – something he eats, breathes and sleeps. That kind of enthusiasm is invaluable and exactly what we’re looking for at Shatterbox.”

Shatterbox was founded in Lexington by Ruth, who still steers the company’s day-to-day operations as Chief Creative Officer. Among Shatterbox’s current clients are Gray Construction, the University of Kentucky and Fazoli’s Restaurants, while it has also done work with the United States Olympic Committee and Kentucky Historical Society. Ruth has personally won more than 40 local Gold Addy Awards since 2002, has had work published internationally has recently won multiple national awards.

Hensley-Elam is a regional IT company that offers Web hosting, website development, computer programming, network management and off-site backup as well as consultation from its software engineering and infrastructure services group. The absorption of Shatterbox pairs Hensley-Elam’s resources as one of the region’s leading IT services firms with Shatterbox’s creative and branding talents to form a unique company capable of enhancing clients’ productivity along with its exposure and marketing initiatives.

Canadian Platinum Coins Now Available at US Gold Coin Dealer Regal Assets

RegalGoldCoins.com

Universal City, CA (Vocus) November 9, 2010

Canadian platinum coins are one of the most recognized forms of platinum trade worldwide due to it’s quality and purity. The Canadian government guarantees each platinum coin for weight and content making it a preferred choice among gold and precious metal investors. Regal Assets now currently offers all Canadian Maple leaf series to include Canadian gold coins, silver, palladium and platinum coins.

The Canadian mint is the only country that currently produces 1 ounce bullion coins for the four most popular precious metals. Canada has been the most recognized producer for quality bullion since it released the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf. The Maple Leaf series has become a distinct symbol in the global community for trade. Next to the Krugerrand, Canadian gold coins have the largest trade volume among gold bullion.

Platinum is referred to as “the most precious precious metal”. Over 15 times more gold is mined each year than platinum but over 20% of all manufactured products rely on platinum at some stage of their production process. Platinum is a daily part of our lives. It is involved in the production of fiberglass, aspirin, computers, and lasers. Its greatest use in industry is as a control to pollution. It is most widely used in automobile catalytic converters, which help to limit exhaust emissions.

Precious metal investors who buy gold see platinum as the perfect opportunity to diversify their holdings as platinum is easily obtained by purchasing 1 ounce platinum bullion coins. Other countries offer 1 ounce platinum to include the American platinum eagle, Australian platinum koala, and Chinese platinum panda. This validation of worldwide value and trade is seen by the individuals, corporations and countries acquiring platinum.

The price of platinum has seen an all-time high at $ 2,252 with trading experts expecting that to be passed in the near future. Regal Assest advises Americans to buy silver coins and platinum as a means to diversify their gold portfolio. Canadian platinum coins can be purchased for physical delivery by calling 1-888-700-9887 or buy platinum online thru http://www.RegalGoldCoins.com.
